Comment:
I am a strong supporter of the First Amendment of the US Constitution — freedom of speech, assembly, and the right to petition government for the redress of grievances I oppose rules that restrict or charge a fee to exercise our rights in Washington DC, the heart of US government. Public sidewalks and parks are classic examples of where free speech should be respected and preserved to protest government policies. The National Park Service (NPS) should not be in the business of restricting or putting a burden on citizens exercising their 1st amendment rights. Stick to keeping our National parks open and accessible to all. Keep the White House sidewalk and nearby parks and malls open for peaceful 1st amendment protest rights.
