 Stop Bombing Pohakuloa

Protect Pohakuloa, Mauna Kea & All Sacred Sites

Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020 PTA main gate:

10AM till noon

Please help pass the word!  Mahalo.

B-2

B-2 strategic nuclear bombers ($2 Billion each) train for global nuclear war at Pohakuloa, the 133,000-acre military training area located in the center of Hawaii Island. Pohakuloa is 4-5 times the size of Kaho’olawe and has been used as a war training ground for more than 75 years. Numerous other weapon systems of the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines are also used in training at PTA. In the summer of 2020 (every 2 years) RIMPAC military exercise will take place throughout Hawaii, including Pohakuloa, by more than 25 countries who come to bomb Hawaii.

ENOUGH ALREADY!

Time for Kapu Aloha & Aloha Aina!

We demand answers to serious health and safety questions about Depleted Uranium (DU)
radiation weapons and other matters at Pohakuloa: frequency of B-2 and B-52 bomber training at
PTA, total number of live-rounds fired annually at PTA, possible ground water contamination,
from perchlorate used in rockets and munitions, military’s use of per- and polyfluoroalkyl
substances (PFAS) in routine fire-fighting, etc.  We expect PTA commander Lt. Col. Loreto Borce
to come outside the base entrance to address these and other concerns of the general public and
news media.  We want a complete listing of all the POISONS the military has used at Pohakuloa,
including what toxins are in the shallow water well drilled at PTA in 2013 that hit water at a depth
of 700 feet near the Army's Headquarters building on leased land from the State of Hawaii,
but the military continues to spend $2 million annually to truck water instead of using water
from the well drilled on PTA.
