Step Back From the Brink of Nuclear War!

The Fate of the Earth!

“A war between the world’s two nuclear superpowers could extinguish human life on a gigantic scale while plunging the Earth into cataclysmic ‘nuclear winter.”

“This moment in human history is not about Trump. It’s not about Putin. It’s not about whether you despise either or neither or both. What’s at stake in the dynamics between them is life on this planet.

“Whatever the truth may be about Russian interference in the U.S. election last year, an overarching truth continues to bind the fates of Russians, Americans and the rest of humanity. No matter how much we might wish to forget or deny it, we are tied together by a fraying thread of relations between two nations that possess 93 percent of the world’s nuclear weapons. Right now it is not popular to say so, but we desperately need each other to enhance the odds of human survival.”

North Korea!

This week’s North Korea’s test of an intercontinental ballistic missile adds to global dangers of nuclear war. The U.S./South Korea answering North Korea’s test with missile tests of their own only adds fuel to the fire in a region that is an explosive powder keg. Russia and China’s proposal seems like a reasonable first step to defuse the dangerous situation: North Korea declares a moratorium on any further nuclear or missile tests and the U.S./South Korea refrain from large scale military exercises.

Negotiate, Don’t Escalate!

Diplomacy Not War!

  1. Mourn all victims of violence. 2. Reject war as a solution. 3. Defend civil liberties.
    4. Oppose all discrimination, anti-Islamic, anti-Semitic, anti-Hawaiian, etc.
    5. Seek peace through peaceful means and work for justice in Hawai`i and around the world.
