Navy meetings on Impacts from Navy military training

Subject: HSTT Section 106 Consultation Meetings: 4-7 September 2018

The Navy is continuing to seek information from consulting parties and other individuals and organizations likely to have knowledge of, or concerns with, historic properties in the area, and identify issues relating to the undertaking’s potential effects on historic properties (CFR §800.4(a)(3)).  Historic properties that have been identified within the area of potential effects (APE) are provided in Enclosure 3.  We welcome input regarding historic properties during these meetings or by email, letter or telephone conversation.

 

The Navy would like to thank those who participated in the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), Section 106 consultation meetings on Oahu (April 30, May 22, and July 18, 2018) for the proposed Hawaii-Southern California Training and Testing activities. In response to consulting parties request for in person meetings in the neighbor islands, the Navy has scheduled meetings in Kauai, Maui, Hilo, and Kona.
