Malu Aina was denied permission to participate in the 2014 Honoka’a Peace Parade to be held Sept. 20, 2014 sponsored by the Honoka’a Hongwanji Buddhist Temple.   Parade participation is now by Invitation only.  And only $ponsors and churches are allowed to carry banners approved in advance by the parade committee.

Below are two photos from Malu ‘Aina’s  2007 participation.  Banners visible:  “Never Again War (Malu Aina Land of Peace),” Radiation Monitoring” and “In memory of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.”
We had other smaller peace signs, and a leaflet about radiation contamination at Pohakuloa that was handed out along the route to anyone interested.

In the 2014 parade, besides the “Never Again War” banner, Malu Aina wanted to include a banner that said “U.S. Military: Largest Consumer of OIL; Largest Emitter of CO2.”  On Sept. 21st, the day following the Honoka’a parade, people will be marching and gathering in N.Y. City, San Francisco, Honolulu, Hilo, and in many places around the world to speak out for urgent action needed to reduce CO2 and Global Warming and prevent catastrophic climate change.

In Honolulu people will gather on the grounds of Iolani Palace on Sunday, September 21, 4:00-8:00 PM, to celebrate the Queen Liliuokalani International Day of Peace with prayer, song, conversation and entertainment. Palani Vaughn, Leon Siu and Umi Sexton are among the featured musicians on the program. For more information see

In the photos below please note the use of a golf pull/push cart to carry the large radiation symbol.  It’s perhaps the first known instance of a golf cart used to protest war and nuclear destruction.

Article: Revelations Mark This Month’s 50th JFK Warren Report Anniversary | OpEdNews

Must read article.  I also encourage everyone to read the very authoritative book “JFK and the Unspeakable:  Why he died and why it matters” by James W. Douglass. This book makes clear JFK was killed by the U.S. National Security State which has grown enormously, and has become even more dangerous, since 1963.
