First Hilo Court date for Mauna Kea Protectors arrested

On Friday morning, Aug. 23rd at 8:30 several of the 38 kupuna arrested on July 17th at the Mauna Kea Access Rd for seeking to protect Sacred Mauna a Wakea from desecration will appear in Hilo District court (Courtoom 2B) for arraignment. Other dates for the remaining kupuna are Sept. 20 and Oct. 23. All are welcome to come and support the Mauna protectors. Please pass the word. It’s likely to be a very short court proceeding consisting of entering a plea and setting trial date.
