Support  Puna Pono Alliance!

To All Hawai’i Residents, Especially People of Puna, (and lovers of Hawai’i, everywhere!)

A very important fundraiser is happening!
The Puna Pono Alliance will receive all proceeds from this event to be
held at Laakea on May 4th.

Puna Pono alliance is the main organization trying to establish
safeguards, regulation and oversight at the current geothermal plant.
PPA has established working relationships with county coucilors, state
legislatures and activists statewide. THEY HAVE WORKED TO PRESERVE PUNA
INPUT INTO DECISIONS ABOUT GEOTHERMAL IN PUNA. They are an educational
presence at farmers markets, and many other events. They maintain a
robust web site full of geothermal information at: http://punapono.com/

(if you are not able to make it to the fundraiser but would like to donate you can do so here) http://www.punapono.com/index.php/donations

PPA IS ESSENTIAL TO THE SAFETY AND WELL BEING OF THE PEOPLE OF PUNA
RELATIVE TO THE CURRENT PLANT!
PPA is twenty times as important when considering the 20 sites being
looked into for possible future geothermal.

I have been attending PPA meetings for a few months. These Puna
residents are sincere and organized, effective, established, networked
and in need of support. Their bank balance is near zero. Keep these
hardworking volunteers supported.
OUR GOAL IS TO RAISE $4,000.
It’s an ambitious amount!
It would allow PPA to focus on protecting Puna’s future, rather then
more fundraising.
COME! ENJOY! DONATE!
