Hawaiian Activists and friend, Moana Tavares, died today
Aloha peace ohana,
Hawaiian activist and friend, Moana Tavares, died today around noon. She was surrounded by her brother, daughter and grandchild. She had been battling cancer the past several years. Moana was a very upbeat spirit and at peace. I saw her on Thursday and I went to see her today arriving about an hour or so after she died. Moana blessed us in many ways –including her faithful witness for peace and justice, and by sharing in the life and work at Malu Aina. We extend to her and her family our deepest mahalo and fondest aloha for the many blessings of being a part of her life.
