Re: Complaint against Jeffrey H. Overton, principal of G70 for Bias and Free Speech interference at May 7, 2024, Pohakuloa EIS hearing in Hilo.   G-70 who is doing the EIS should be a neutral body, not demonstrating a pro-military bias.

Below is a photo from the Hawaii Tribune-Herald from the front page of the Hawaii Tribune-Herald, on Thursday, May 9, 2024.  It shows several people peacefully picketing outside the Imiloa Astronomy Center on the University of Hawaii Hilo campus at approximately 5:40 PM May 7, 2024, prior to the EIS public hearing on the Pohakuloa Draft 2 EIS from 6-8 PM.  What is not mentioned in the caption or article is that G70 principal Jeffrey H. Overton came outside and told me to stop holding signs in opposition to the PTA lease extension and end our peaceful demonstration.  I refused, asserting that we were not blocking the entrance, and that we had a First Amendment right to peaceful expression. Jeffrey Overton backed off but was out of line and showed a pro-military bias in his attempt to squash our right to peaceful expression, especially as a principal in an organization doing the EIS on the military lease at Pohakuloa.
