Good Riddance to “The Doomsday Plane” visiting Hilo

Wednesday, December 28th, 2016
Good riddance to the DOOMSDAY PLANE.  Hopefully this will be it’s last visit to Hilo.
The DOOMSDAY plane.  Every time Obama and his family visited Oahu over Christmas for the last 8 years, the Doomsday plane parks in Hilo.  It’s a nuclear war command plane  in case Hickam/Pearl Harbor, etc. on Oahu is attacked.

Oahu has dozens of prime targets, and it is the nuclear war command center for more than half the globe. All the more reason for demilitarization. Having the DOOMSDAY Plane here in Hilo while we celebrate the birth of the Prince of Peace is blasphemy! The fact that we haven’t mounted protests to kick that plane off the island is an indictment of us.  A few years ago I was threatened with arrest when I showed up at Hilo airport in a Grim Reaper costume with a sign that said “Welcome Doomsday Plane.”

The Boeing E-4 Advanced Airborne Command Post, with the project name “Nightwatch”,[2] is a strategic…

Prevent the Killing of Planet Earth

Through Nuclear War & Climate Disaster

If 1% of the nuclear weapons now ready for war were detonated in large cities, they would utterly devastate the environment, climate, ecosystems and inhabitants of Earth. A war fought with thousands of strategic nuclear weapons would leave the Earth uninhabitable.”

Following a large nuclear war, enormous fires created by nuclear explosions in cities cause 150 million tons of smoke to be lofted high above cloud level, into the stratosphere. The smoke quickly spreads around the world and forms a dense smoke layer which will remain in the stratosphere for many years and act to block sunlight from reaching the surface of the Earth.”

“There are other pathways to planetary destruction (than nuclear war). The principal one, global warming, requires more time than a nuclear exchange for the consequences to be realized, but in the end, the planet would definitely become a disaster zone.

President-elect Donald Trump is ignorant of many things. Most of all he is ignorant of his own ignorance – a situation that often accompanies a grandiose estimation of oneself. One of the subjects on which Trump’s ignorance stands out is environmental protection – the rubric under which comes the effort to save the planet from global warming. This warming process is a scientific fact and the subject of the 2015 Paris Agreement on climate change.” Lawrence Davidson is professor of history at West Chester University in West Chester, PA.
