9-11 Commemoration & Syria Peace Vigil in Hilo

In solidarity with Occupy Hilo, Malu ‘Aina is co- sponsoring a 9-11 commemoration peace vigil on Wednesday, Sept. 11 from 5-8 PM fronting Wallgreens/Walmart in Hilo.  The vigil will transition from sign holding to candlelight vigil to the Hilo light brigade.  Come for a portion or the entire 3 hrs.  Given the pending possible U.S. attack on Syria, signs for NO Attack, NO More War seem quite appropriate. Please come in the spirit of aloha and show respect to all, even those who oppose us.
Please help pass the word.  Bring a sign, a candle, and your spirit for justice and peace in our world.  Mahalo.

PS  Hawaii senator Brian Schatz and Congreswoman Colleen Hanabusa have publicly stated they will vote AGAINST any U.S. military strike on Syria.  Senator Mazie Hirono and Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard have not decided.  Please call their offices to say No Attack on Syria.  Senator Hirono’s Honolulu office number is 808-522-8970.  In Washington, DC it is 202-224-6361.  Congresswoman Gabbard’s Honolulu number is 808-541-1986.  Her DC number is 202-225-4906
