Doctors Without Borders Refutes US Version Of Kunduz Hospital Bombing

Kunduz, Afghanistan – The international non-governmental organization Medecins Sans Frontiers (Doctors Without Borders) denied on Sunday that its hospital in Kunduz was used by the Taliban to launch an attack against U.S. military personnel, as the Pentagon asserted. “The gates of the hospital compound were closed all night so no one that is not staff, a patient or a caretaker was inside the hospital when the bombing happened,” MSF said through a statement. According to the U.S. military, air strikes were carried out “in the vicinity” after reports of Taliban fighters firing at U.S. troops from the bombed hospital. -more-
