Looking for volunteer help on Malu ‘Aina farm
Looking for volunteer help on the farm
(an hour a week, more, or live in resident)
Help needed — Weeding taro patches, watering screen house, weed wacking around fruit trees, harvesting available crops, etc.
Malu `Aina is a peace and justice non-profit farm. No one is paid. We are all volunteer. Our main “crop” is non-violent activism on a variety of social issues including feeding the hungry and opposing war and injustice. Besides growing food to share with people in need we work for justice, peace and and protecting the environmental. We sponsor a weekly vigil in Hilo on Fridays, peace meetings, and support other various justice and peace events: i.e. opposing military expansion in Hawaii, alternatives to prison, protecting Mauna Kea, protecting Pohakuloa, and solidarity for Hawaiian sovereignty, etc.
