Taliban fighters stormed the ancient palace on Sunday and demanded a ‘peaceful transfer of power’ as Kabul descended into chaos, with US helicopters evacuating diplomats from the embassy in scenes echoing the 1975 fall of Saigon which followed the Vietnam War. US-backed Afghan President Ashraf Ghani fled the country, effectively ceding power to the Taliban, while thousands of Afghan nationals rushed to the Pakistan border, in a move signalling the end of the 20-year Western intervention begun after the September 11 attacks [aka the inside job carried out by al-CIAduh, George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, and their traitorous deep-state accomplices, still operating inside the government and the Pentagon].

Ambassador Ross Wilson and the flag were both seen arriving at Kabul Airport, as other Americans still in the country were ordered to shelter in place, with shots being fired at the city’s airport. Embassy staff will be evacuated within the next 72 hours, as the Taliban makes stunning advances into the Afghan capital city, which worst-case scenarios estimated lasting at least 30 days after the US withdrew from it. An official security alert was issued by the US government after shots were fired at the airport, sparking fears American jets could be shot down as they try to flee the country, which the Taliban have vowed to rename the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. The government said the ‘security situation in Kabul is changing quickly including at the airport’ and has instructed US citizens to shelter in place.

Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani flees the country | 15 Aug 2021 | Afghanistan’s president fled the war-torn country on Sunday as Taliban militants, who entered the capital of Kabul earlier in the day, were involved in discussions with Afghan government officials about surrendering, according to reports. Abdullah Abdullah, the chairman of the Afghan High Council for National Reconciliation, referred to Ashraf Ghani as the “former president” and said he had left the country. “The former president of Afghanistan left Afghanistan, leaving the country in this difficult situation,” Abdullah said. “God should hold him accountable.” Ghani’s departure comes as Taliban fighters and government officials huddled in the Presidential Palace on Sunday for discussions about the transfer of power.

Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, on “Sunday Morning Futures.” “I don’t think he’s taken one question from the press this entire weekend, so this is a frightening situation.” Fox News confirmed on Sunday morning that Afghan President Ashraf Ghani fled the country as Taliban fighters entered Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul…Rep.
