Mahalo for your statement on Pohakuloa lease

Aug. 22, 2022

Aloha Kimberly,
I want to extend a sincere mahalo of our organization and commend you for your 4 page statement of June 7, 2022 concerning the Army’s draft EIS for State lease extension of 23,000 acres at the military Pohakuloa Training Area (PTA) on Hawaii Island. Your statement goes to the heart of the matter how the military’s weapons training is in direct conflict with the state’s Conservation District designation to “conserve, protect, and preserve the important natural and cultural resources of the State…”
Your voice is a great community service and we are deeply grateful for your clear vision and courage to speak truth to power. We pray your voice will be heard by all those in power.

Sincerely,
Jim Albertini
