Summary: Experimenting on people — a legal issue (i.e. Military DU oxide)

DU oxide radiation contamination at the military Pohakuloa Training Area (PTA)

The DUst at PTA IS Illegal.  Experimentation requires individual and community consent. 

The legal basis is Nuremberg –Nazi war crime trials following WWII.  Like pesticide experimentation, military DU oxide experimentation is illegal.  The DU harm lasts far longer than pesticide contamination.  DU oxide has a half-life of 4.5 billion years and once breathed into the body it does not clear the body for decades.  DU oxide particles are formed when DU metal is burned by high explosives used at Pohakuloa.  The particles can be carried long distances by the wind.
