82,000 plus Deaths in the US and mounting as of May 12, 2020!

(The highest number of deaths and one of the highest Covid 19 death rates in the world)

The U.S. was slow and unprepared in its response to stop the spread of the Covid 19 pandemic. There was inadequate social distancing policies put in place, and a failure in providing personal protective equipment and testing.

Income support by the US has been inadequate.  At best a one time $1200 check has been handed out while unemployment offices are overwhelmed with claims for lost jobs.  Congress has handed out hundreds of billions of dollars to large, publicly traded companies, that was suppose to go to small businesses. The money was funneled through banks who raked off money for themselves.

People on the bottom are hurting the most.  They have lost jobs and health insurance.  Many workers went to work sick because they didn’t have paid sick leave. People of color — African Americans and Latinos have paid the highest price with their very lives.   This crisis underscores the need for universal healthcare –Medicare for all, and worker unions to push for higher wages and safer working conditions.

A bloated US military budget has kept funds from going to meet basic human needs.  And now the Pentagon and arms makers are calling for more funds in the next government corporate bailout.  Enough already! It’s time to focus on Saving lives and stopping this global pandemic. There should be a Global ceasefire now! No More Wars! Lift all international sanctions! Shut Down forever all bio-weapon facilities worldwide! Stop wasteful military propaganda flyovers! Prioritize the needs of ordinary people over the interests of corporate, financial, political elites, and the US War Machine.

It appears that Trump is trying to wash his bloody hands of responsibility for the mounting death toll, his slow response, lack of tests, protective equipment, etc. Instead, he is trying to dump responsibility on to State Governors and at the same time blame and bully China to take the focus off his poor leadership.                   Trump orchestrates Military Propaganda Air Shows throughout the U.S.                   

      Six planes each Air Force Thunderbirds and Navy Blue Angels (total of 12 planes) costing over $20,000 per hour per plane to fly are involved.   Military propaganda shows are planned all across the US over the next few weeks as a so called “salute to Covid 19 responders and frontline workers.” 

      Let’s cancel the propaganda shows and give the funds instead to the frontline workers and/or for protective equipment  and testing for Covid 19.  It’s bloated military spending that has stolen funds to prepare for pandemics like Covid 19 and to provide Medicare and basic income for all people.
