Sat. Nov. 23, 2024

Aloha Peace ohana,

Join the peace organizing meeting on Monday, Nov. 25th from 6-8 PM at the Kea’au Community Center.  Lots to discuss.  Hopefully we will be celebrating the repeal after 40 years of the military exemption from Hawaii County’s Nuclear-Free Law.  See below.  We need your phone call and/or email to Mayor Mitch Roth by Monday urging him to sign Bill 206 draft 2 or simply let it become law without his signature.  The County Council Passed the Bill Unanimously in committee and 2 regular council meetings.

Peace meetings are held regularly on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month from 6 – 8 PM at the Kea’au Community Center. Please pass the word.

We’ll discuss follow-up actions to Bill 206 draft 2, expectations from the recent elections locally, nationally.  The increasing dangers of the expanding wars in the Middle East, the Russia/Ukraine escalating war and the build up for war with China, etc.  Please come and join the discussion and share thoughts.  This is no time to sit on the sidelines.  Your voice matters. Mahalo.
