Peace meeting to discuss Gov’t Shutdown and Debt Crisis

Aloha Peace Ohana,
There will be a meeting on Monday, Oct. 21, 2013 from 7-9PM at the Kea’au Community Center to discuss the current Government Shutdown, and economic crisis of possible government default on its debt, as well as other concerns related to justice and peace.  Please pass the word.  Mahalo.

The populations of dying empires are passive because they are lotus-eaters. There is a narcotic-like reverie among those barreling toward oblivion. They retreat into the sexual, the tawdry and the inane, retreats that are momentarily pleasurable but ensure self-destruction. They naively trust it will all work out. It is collective self-delusion, a retreat into magical thinking.
