Free Stanford Nuclear Literacy Course
Here we have what seems like a unique opportunity for people to get trained in “nuclear literacy.”
William Perry (former secretary of defense. author of My Journey at the Nuclear Brink, and nuclear abolitionist) and a host of others are doing a free online course through Stanford, starting October 4, ending December 13, requiring about 3 hours of work per week to earn a Statement of Accomplishment.
My hope is that it would be a really intense way tor potential activists from any domain to learn the basics and then leap into action. As we reach out to elected officials, medical professionals, labor, faith based groups, etc. there needs to be a core curriculum that teaches “the facts of death” and debunks nuclear deterrence.
