“In my opinion, estimated costs for cleanup are grossly underestimated.  Actual cost are likely to be in the tens of billions and some hazards may never be able to be thoroughly cleaned up, such as Depleted Uranium radiation contamination that has a half-life of 4.5 billion years.” But we have to stop allowing the US military to make mess after mess and demand clean up not more military build up.”  Jim Albertini
