Pohakuloa Training Area (PTA) Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for State lease renewal
Shut Down Pohakuloa, make the military clean up its toxic mess, and return the full 133,000-acres (not just 23,000 leased acres) to the Hawaiian people.
On April 8, 2022 the Army released its Draft Environmental Impact Statement for training land retention at Pōhakuloa Training Area, which is within the same ahupuaʻa as Maunakea.
Comments on the draft EIS are due June 7, 2022.
