Below is information about "Experience Pohakuloa Day" Open House being held at Pohakuloa on Thursday, April 20th
from 9 AM to 1 PM. Copies of the military email statements on Free speech are available here https://malu-aina.org/?p=8944
Jim Albertini said "I urge members of the news media to ask some hard questions both about the denial of peaceful free speech
on the base at the Open House event and also about the military's failure to take action as called for in Hawaii County
Resolution 639-08. The health of Hawaii's children and all residents and visitors alike are at stake. We are all down wind,
down hill, and down stream of Pohakuloa. What's done mauka, comes makai sooner or later. Red Hill, Camp Lejeune, etc, and
all the recent toxic train wrecks, industrial fires, etc. should be wake up calls to deal with military toxins in the
center of our island. As members of the News media, you should be aware that Fre Speech and Freedom of the Press go
together. They are 2 sides of the same First Amendment coin. An injury to one is an injury to all."

Free Speech Denied!

at the “Experience Pohakuloa Day” Open House event April 20, 2023,

where school children and the general public are invited.

Military does an “About Face” after first saying Free Speech applies!

Why does the military Fear Free Speech?

Is it about the truth of Pohakuloa Toxins being Exposed?

The Military’s Big Lie: Pohakuloa is Safe!

The truth is the Military’s Pohakuloa Training Area (PTA) is the largest toxic site on Hawaii Island. PTA is 133,000 acres in size, more than 4 times the size of Kaho’olawe, and as big as the island of Guam. PTA is located in the center of Hawaii Island at an elevation of 6500 feet. Strong winds frequently blow through Pohakuloa carrying military toxins, like Depleted Uranium radiation (DU) oxide particles, around the island. Inhaling DU alpha dust particles is the most dangerous form of radiation. This is according to Hawaii resident, Dr. Lorrin Pang, MD who spent 24 years in the Army Medical Corps and has been listed among America’s Best Doctors. See Dr. Pang’s 17-minute video on DU dangers here – https://vimeo.com/19153948 Dr. Pang explains especially vulnerable are young children and pregnant women. Just like from Red Hill military contaminated water on Oahu, at Camp Lejeune, etc., etc.

The Hawaii County Council passed resolution 639-08 on July 2, 2008, by a vote of 8-1 that called for 8 actions, including stopping all live fire at PTA, comprehensive independent testing and monitoring, and clean up of DU present at Pohakuloa.  None of the 8 actions called for have been done.  The military has ignored the county’s call to action for 15 years. Millions of live rounds continue to be fired annually at PTA. Call your elected government officials at the county, state, and federal levels and urge them to speak out against this sham. A comprehensive, independent study needs to be done to determine the full extent of the toxic contamination at PTA and what is coming off the base. The military needs to clean up its mess. Cancel the State lease of 23,000 acres of Hawaiian land to PTA for a total of $1 dollar for 65 years. Rescind the Presidential and Governor’s executive orders that seized more than 84,000 acres of land at PTA for zero cost. Please spread the word to ohana and friends, We are all in this together.
