Take a Stand for Peace Now!

There will be NO Winners in a Nuclear War!

To All Military People in the World’s 9 Nuclear Rogue States: The US, Russia, China, Great Britain, France, India, Pakistan, North Korea, and Israel –

Refuse Orders to Launch Nuclear Weapons!

Nuclear Weapons Are NOW Illegal Under International Law! United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs The Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) entered into force on Jan. 22, 2021. The Nuremberg principles and the Geneva Conventions also reinforce the obligation to disobey illegal orders.

We live in a time of unprecedented danger. Today, the world is on hair-trigger alert with the escalating war between the US and NATO with Russia in Ukraine, and increasing tensions between the US and China. https://thebulletin.org/doomsday-clock/current-time/

Vasily Arkhipov– World Hero for Peace! Vasily Aleksandrovich Arkhipov was a Soviet Naval officer who refused to launch a nuclear torpedo against US forces in 1962, thereby preventing the Cuban missile crisis from escalating into nuclear war. Jan. 30th would have been his 97th birthday. He died in 1998. Wikipedia Jan. 30th also marks the 75 anniversary of the assassination of Mohandas Gandli, another World Hero for Peace and nonviolence, who continues to inspire many nonviolent activists around the world, despite the cost of his life.

Today, we need more World Heroes for Peace – people who will refuse to launch nuclear weapons; people who will stand up for peace now! We need people who will put the common good of humanity before the criminal actions of their own government and corporate interests who want to profit off of war, even at the cost of destroying human civilization and the ecosystem of the planet. All of us have a responsibility to speak up and stand up, and to sound the alarm to prevent nuclear war and climate disasters.

Peace is a Victory for ALL!

1. Mourn all victims of violence. 2. Reject violence & war as solutions. 3. Defend civil liberties.
4. Oppose all discrimination: anti-Islamic, anti-Semitic, anti-Hawaiian, anti-Black, anti-Asian, anti-Russian,
anti-LGBTQ, etc.  5. Seek peace through peaceful means and work for justice in Hawai`i and around the world.

End the Threat of

Nuclear War!

Join the Nuclear Weapon Ban Treaty!

A time of unprecedented danger: it is 90 seconds to midnight according to the

Bulletin of Atomic Scientists – https://thebulletin.org/doomsday-clock/current-time/

The Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW), or the Nuclear Weapon Ban Treaty, is the first legally binding international agreement to comprehensively prohibit nuclear weapons with the ultimate goal being their total elimination. The treaty entered into international law on Jan. 22, 2021.

The treaty prohibits the development, testing, production, stockpiling, stationing, transfer, use and threat of use of nuclear weapons, as well as assistance and encouragement to the prohibited activities.

According to the treaties database maintained by the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs, as of 22 September 2022, the TPNW has 68 parties. More parties are needed. The clock is ticking.

The Problem: 9 Nuclear Rogue States

The US, Russia, China, Great Britain, France, India, Pakistan, North Korea, and Israel.

Our world needs a global nonviolent people’s movement to pressure the Rogue states to nuclear disarmament in the interest of the common good of all humanity and the ecosystem of the planet. The threat of nuclear war and climate disasters are directly linked. The global nonviolent people’s movement needs to have the economic teeth to use a global boycott and a general strike to counter the arms industry’s never-ending drive for profits at the expense of human lives and the environment.

The stakes couldn’t be higher. The risk of crossing red lines to global nuclear destruction is increasing with the US proxy war with Russia in Ukraine threatening to spread into Crimea. There is also growing tension between the US and China. Hawaii is a US military command center for nuclear war covering more than half the earth. The military Indo-Pacom Headquarters is located at Camp H.M. Smith, along with other major military bases on Oahu. More than 100 military installations are located throughout the Hawaiian Islands. The Pohakuloa Training Area (PTA) on Hawaii Island is a training area for conventional and nuclear war. It includes B-2 and B-52 strategic nuclear bombers flying non-stop bombing missions from Louisiana, Missouri, and Guam to PTA.

No Nukes! Peace is a Victory for ALL!

1. Mourn all victims of violence. 2. Reject violence & war as solutions. 3. Defend civil liberties.
4. Oppose all discrimination: anti-Islamic, anti-Semitic, anti-Hawaiian, anti-Black, anti-Asian, anti-Russian, etc.
5. Seek peace through peaceful means and work for justice in Hawai`i and around the world.
