NO MORE WAR!
Syria, Iran next?
Don’t buy into another preemptive war of aggression in the name of “protecting beleaguered citizens” be it in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Libya, Yemen, Somalia, Sudan, or now Syria. And don’t buy into another war over phantom weapons of mass destruction – WMDs that didn’t exist in Iraq, and nuclear weapons that don’t exist in Iran, but do exist in large numbers in the U.S. and Israel. How come no one talks about U.S. and Israel’s nuclear weapons being a danger to the region and the world.? Beware of a contrived trigger for war – a phony battle cry like “Remember the Maine” and “Ton-kin Gulf attack” that were used to initiate the Spanish/American war and U.S. bombing of Vietnam.
In truth, it’s all about regime change that will be favorable to U.S./Israel geopolitical and corporate/banking interests. We need to remember that the Iranian revolution of 1979 followed 25 years of brutal rule by the Shah of Iran who came to power by a U.S. sponsored regime change in 1954. The CIA helped topple the democratically elected government of Iran and imposed the Shah to maintain Anglo/American control of Iranian oil.
There are now reports of the U.S. selling Israel refueling aircraft and bunker busting bombs so any Israeli attack on Iran will have direct U.S. ties even if the U.S. does not join in the actual attack. But it is clear that Israel is pushing the U.S. to attack Iran and will be using the upcoming U.S. election as leverage to involve the U.S. in an attack. Be prepared for an “October surprise” anytime between now and election day in November.
The good news is that people are speaking out against more war. Several former high-ranking military, intelligence and State Department officials took out a full page ad in the Washington Post on March 6th urging President Obama to stand fast against political and lobbying pressure to attack Iran over claims it is trying to develop nuclear weapons. The letter, signed by five retired generals, two senior intelligence analysts and a senior State Department official, is accompanied by a photo and quotes from other current military and defense officials warning against such an attack.
