Who are the Butchers of Bucha?
The photos and videos coming out of the Ukrainian town of Bucha are horrifying and heartbreaking. Any photos of war’s death and destruction are horrifying but Ukrainians with hands tied behind their backs and shot in the head are beyond the pale. Hundreds were reportedly killed. Many simply lie on the streets or are dumped in mass graves.
The blame for such atrocities appears to fall squarely on retreating or repositioning Russian troops. But an independent international investigation needs to be done to confirm what is the truth and who did the killings, instead of simply taking the word of the Ukrainian military and police. Questions have been raised about the possible involvement of ultra-nationalist Ukrainians carrying out such horrors against fellow citizens to provoke more direct US and NATO involvement in a war against Russia. Whoever committed these atrocities against civilians needs to be brought before the International Criminal Court (ICC) on War Crimes, but the US is not in a position of credibility to call for such an investigation. First of all, it is not even a member of the ICC, and secondly, its hands are dirty given its own war crimes in Iraq, Afghanistan, and its support of Israel and Saudi war crimes.
Right now, instead of escalating the war, with the very real risk of global nuclear war and global destruction at stake, the war has got stop. More war and more weapons are NOT the answer.

On April 1, 2022, Thurston County Superior Court Judge James Dixon, in Washington State ruled against Covert Military Special Ops in 28 Washington State parks. The judge ruled the Covert Military Special Ops in State parks illegal and “Creepy.” What about the Covert Military Special Ops in Hawaii? Where are our elected officials in standing up to this illegal and “Creepy” military intrusion into our communities? The military is using all of us –residents and visitors alike, as props in assassination training. Stand Up! Speak Out! Stop it!
1. Mourn all victims of violence. 2. Reject violence & war as solutions. 3. Defend civil liberties.
4. Oppose all discrimination, anti-Islamic, anti-Semitic, anti-Hawaiian, anti-Black, anti-Asian, etc.
5. Seek peace through peaceful means and work for justice in Hawai`i and around the world.
