Nuclear Armageddon?

     What happens in the next few weeks in Ukraine will be critical to determine the future, according to former US CIA agent, Ray McGovern, who provided daily CIA briefings to 7 presidents. Will there be a ceasefire and peace negotiations or a major escalation by the US and NATO against Russia that will likely trigger the use of nuclear weapons and WWIII? There is a NATO summit coming up shortly that may not only determine the future of the war in Ukraine, but civilization on planet Earth.

     According to McGovern, despite the Western media spin, the war in Ukraine is not going well for Ukraine. Russia views the Western push of NATO toward Russia as an existential threat, in the same way, the US viewed Soviet missiles placed in Cuba in 1962. Fortunately, the Cuban missile crisis did not escalate to nuclear war. It came very close but ended with peace negotiations and the Soviet removal of its nuclear weapons from Cuba, the US removal of its nuclear weapons near the Soviet border in Turkey, and a pledge that the US would not invade Cuba.

     The big question now is can a ceasefire and a peace agreement be reached in Ukraine? According to McGovern, US neocons like Sec. of State, Antony Blinken,, State Dept. official Victoria Nuland, and Biden’s national security advisor Jake Sullivan operate with a sense of dangerous arrogance and impunity toward both Russia and China. And the general public is manipulated by what former US General and President Dwight D. Eisenhower warned about more than 60 years ago – the growing influence of the “Military Industrial Complex (MIC).” McGovern now calls it the “Military, Industrial, Congressional, Intelligence, Media, Academic, Think-Tank Complex (MICIMATT). What is needed now, more than ever, is an informed global citizen voice, to say before it is too late — NO MORE WAR! PEACE NOW! CEASEFIRE AND NEGOTIATIONS IN UKRAINE!

US Depleted Uranium To Make Ukraine War Dirtier

By John LaForge, CounterPunch.org. The Biden administration is expected to supply Ukraine with highly controversial depleted-uranium munitions which are to be fired from the Abrams battle tanks the U.S. is sending to Kyiv, the Wall St. Journal reported June 13. Any delivery of U.S. depleted uranium (DU) weapons to Ukraine would be in addition to the State Department’s Dec. 22, 2022 approval of the sale to Poland of as many as 112,000 heavy 120-millimeter DU shells, which was announced by the Pentagon’s Defense Security Cooperation Agency.
