Friday, June 7th is the Deadline for testimonies on The Army’s Pohakuloa EIS lease and the Air Force wanting to build up to 7 military space satellites on Haleakala. Here is where to send testimonies:
Oppose the State Lease Renewal of Land to the Military at Pohakuloa! Key Concerns: Cultural/Historic Sites, Air Quality, Water Quality, Critical Habitat for Endangered Species, Military caused Livefire Wildfires, and Multiple Toxins including Depleted Uranium (DU).

There will be a Peace organizing meeting, on Monday, June 10th from 6-8 PM at the Kea’au Community Center, located behind the Kea’au police station and health clinic. Meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month. Please come and pass the word. Mahalo.
A major issue for discussion will be trying to cancel RIMPAC 2024 and if not cancelled, planning protests.
If RIMPAC goes forward, extensive protests are planned. Presently protests are scheduled for Saturday, June 22 from 10 AM till Noon in Hilo on Kamehameha Ave near the Mo’oheau Bandstand, Saturday, July 6 from 10 AM till Noon at the Pohakuloa Main Gate, Saturday, July 20 from 10 AM till Noon fronting the Kamehameha Statue on Hilo Bayfront.
