Enduring Peace Vigils –Hilo, D.C., etc.
Aloha kakou,
This is an appeal for renewed presence at the Friday Hilo Peace Vigil 3:30-5PM at the Downtown Post office. The ranks have been getting thin. The Vigil was started on Sept. 12, 2001. It’s now entering its 13th year. Please pass the word and try to join even if only for 5 min. Every effort for peace is invaluable.
The core points of the vigil repeated in a new leaflet each week are the following:
1. Mourn all victims of violence. 2. Reject war as a solution. 3. Defend civil liberties. 4. Oppose all discrimination, anti-Islamic, anti-Semitic, anti-Hawaiian, etc. 5. Seek peace through justice in Hawai`i and around the world.
