Never Again!

      August 6 and 9, 2022, mark the 77th anniversary of the US atomic bombings of the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan. Two blinding flashes of light, heat, and radiation resulted in the death and injury of hundreds of thousands of people. These War Crimes should never be forgotten, and never be repeated. Weapons, weapons, more weapons, and killing, will not bring peace and end war.

      Today, abolishing nuclear weapons to prevent global nuclear destruction, along with reversing the momentum toward climate catastrophe, are the two greatest priorities for continued human survival. The US pushing NATO east to Russia’s border crosses a red line that increases the risk of the US proxy war in Ukraine going nuclear. The same with the US crossing a red line with China over US House Speaker Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan. War, and the training for war, are earth destroyers. Will we ever learn? Where are the voices of politicians running for office in Hawaii speaking out against the dangers of war and the training for war such as RIMPAC. Shameful! No more excuses! No More War! The march to extinction must be reversed! We all share responsibility for urgent action now!

Now! Before it’s too late!

1. Mourn all victims of violence. 2. Reject violence & war as solutions. 3. Defend civil liberties.
4. Oppose all discrimination: anti-Islamic, anti-Semitic, anti-H awaiian, anti-Black, anti-Asian, anti-Russian, etc.
5. Seek peace through peaceful means and work for justice in Hawai`i and around the world.
