U.S.A. in Need of Life Saving
Spiritual Enema!
Dr. Martin Luther King spoke about the consequences of military spending more than 40 years ago. Military spending has grown enormously since then. War and the Armaments Industry is the U.S. #1 product. Instead of spending money on social uplift — schools, health care, infrastructure, putting people back to work and keeping people in their homes, the U.S. continues to wage war-after-war, and gives lucrative federal contracts to the arms makers for ever more deadly and exotic killing machines. In return, these War Profiteers, along with the Wall Street Banks, use our federal tax dollars to line their own pockets and buy off politicians. These War Profiteers are part of the .01% –one hundredth of one percent. Here are but a few examples. Source: warcosts.com/1%
In 2010 Lockheed Martin paid its CEO Robert Stevens $21.89 million and spent
$12.7 million in lobbying politicians
In 2010 Northrop Grumman paid its CEO Wes Bush $22.84 million and spent
$15.7 million lobbying politicians
In 2010 Boeing paid its CEO James McNerney $19.4 million and spent
$17.98 million lobbying politicians
It’s time for a spiritual cleansing of the U.S. from the bloated military/industrial/congressional complex.
